Idle and deleted apps
Apps nobody opens cost nothing. Deleted apps are kept for 7 days.
Most small tools are idle most of the time. That is fine on Inhaus.
- An app's server code only runs while it handles a request. When nobody opens the app, nothing runs.
- The next person who opens it is served straight away. It starts in milliseconds.
- Nothing is cleared while an app is idle. Code, data, files, secrets and access stay as they are.
App statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
deploying | A version is being built, scanned or put live. |
live | Running and reachable. |
failed | The first deploy failed, so there is no version to run yet. A failed deploy of a later version leaves the previous version live. |
deleting | The app was deleted and is offline. Its data goes 7 days later. |
Deleting an app
The Owner or a workspace admin can delete an app from its Settings tab, by typing the app's address name to confirm. Your AI tool can do it too with delete_app, and it always confirms the app name with you first.
The app goes offline at once. After 7 days its code, database, files and secrets are deleted for good.
