set_secret

Store an API key or other secret for an app, outside the code.

The app reads it as env.NAME in server code. It works from the next request, with no redeploy. The value is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Parameters

appstringrequired

App name, address name, URL or id.

namestringrequired

Capital letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter, 2 to 64 characters. For example HUBSPOT_TOKEN. Names starting with INHAUS_ are reserved.

valuestringrequired

The secret value. Up to 5 KB.

Result

app_idstring

The app's id.

namestring

The secret's name.

updated_atstring

When it was saved.

The value is never echoed back.
