FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask most.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. If you can ask Claude or ChatGPT to build something, you can ask it to deploy and share it. Setup is pasting one URL into your AI tool's connector settings.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard AI tools use to connect to other services. Inhaus is an MCP connector, so your AI tool can deploy and share apps for you when you ask.
Which AI tools work with Inhaus?
Any tool that supports remote MCP connectors with sign-in, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code and Windsurf. See Connect your AI tool.
What kinds of apps can I deploy?
Web apps built with HTML, JavaScript or TypeScript, with or without server code. Python is planned. See Deploy an app.
Can an app save data?
Yes. Each app has its own database and file storage. Only that app can read them, and only people with access to the app can reach it. See Database.
Do the people I share with need an Inhaus account?
No. They sign in with the company Google account they already have, and they are never charged.
Can I share with people outside my company?
In a personal workspace, yes, with anyone by email. In a company workspace, only if your admin allows guests. Public links ("anyone with the link") work only if your admin allows them.
What happens to apps nobody opens?
They keep running and stay where they are. Nothing is put to sleep or deleted on its own. See Idle and deleted apps.
How do I share an app with a team?
Ask your AI tool, for example "share the lead tracker with the sales team". Teams are your workspace's groups. To see which ones exist, ask "which teams are in our workspace?" Admins manage them under Admin → Members → Groups.
What happens when the 7 free days end?
Your apps keep running and people keep access. Deploying and sharing stop until someone chooses a plan. See Plans.
What happens when someone leaves the company?
Their access ends with their company account. An admin moves the apps they owned to new owners in one step. See Offboarding.
My app failed the security scan. Is it offline?
No. It is live for you and the people already added. It just cannot be listed for the whole company until the blocking issues are fixed. See Fixing issues.
Does Inhaus send my code to an AI?
The AI security review and the Fix with AI button send your app's source files to an AI model, with every secret value removed first. Nothing else about your app or its data is sent.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet. Apps live at <app>--<workspace>.inhaus.dev, for example lead-tracker--acme.inhaus.dev.
How much does it cost?
Viewers are always free. Every new workspace gets 7 free days. After that, Individual is $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly. Company is $20 per active builder a month, or $18 billed yearly. Enterprise pricing is agreed with you. See Plans.
How do I leave a workspace or delete my account?
From Settings in the dashboard. See Leave or delete.
Where is my data stored?
On AWS in us-east-2 (Ohio), with apps running on Cloudflare's network. See Security overview.
